It took me a long time to realize how much my cultural heritage affects my work. I am from the North. There is no way around that. We are hard working, driven by quality and the opportunity to make real change that is bigger than a person.
I have missed the cold winters, snow, and the ocean. The combination of city and nature together with an uncompromising sense of quality and seasonality are the foundation in the modern northern culture and I am very happy to be a part of it.
The coffee scene in the North has always been dynamic and unafraid of challenging the rest of Europe and the world. Perhaps it is because we historically drink a lot of coffee or maybe that is just who we are. Regardless, I am sure that we have only started to see the impact that the nordic countries will make on the global coffee scene.
