Green Coffee & Varietals from the Volcán Azul farm in Costa Rica with farmer Alejo Castro

This week we're back at Volcan Azul Estate in the beautiful Alajuela Province of Costa Rica, exploring the fields of coffee trees alongside Farmer and Owner Alejo Castro. Costa Rica already has a great reputation in specialty coffee for producing excellent standards of green coffee.

At Volcan Azul, Alejo is determined to continually increase the quality of his harvest year on year and the continual planting of new cultivars and varietals is one of the crucial ways in which he continues to advance the output of his estate.
